Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar, then let it activate until foamy.
- Stir in flour, salt, and olive oil until a dough forms, then knead until smooth.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled.
- Preheat your oven to 475 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit and heat a pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Stretch the risen dough into a circle and spread a thin layer of tomato sauce.
- Arrange mozzarella slices and tomato slices evenly over the dough.
- Bake until the crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Add fresh basil and a drizzle of olive oil before slicing and serving.
