- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup water or apple juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, nuts, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour water or juice into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Core apples, leaving the base intact, and stuff with the filling.
- Place apples upright in the dish and drizzle with melted butter.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until tender and bubbly.
- Spoon juices over apples and cool slightly before serving.
