- 3 overripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and brown sugar. Mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- Use bananas with plenty of brown spots for best flavor.
- Toss chocolate chips in flour before folding to prevent sinking.
- Store at room temperature for up to 4 days or freeze slices individually.
