Ingredients
Scale
- 2 packages (3.4 oz each) vanilla instant pudding mix
- 4 cups cold milk
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
- 1 box vanilla wafers
- 4 to 5 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese (optional), softened
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk. Let sit for 2 minutes to thicken.
- Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, then mix until smooth.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
- In a serving dish or individual cups, layer vanilla wafers at the bottom.
- Add a layer of banana slices over the wafers.
- Spoon a generous layer of the pudding mixture on top.
- Repeat the layers until the dish is full, ending with pudding on top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, top with additional whipped topping, banana slices, and crushed wafers if desired.
Notes
- Use firm ripe bananas to prevent mushiness.
- Letting the dessert chill overnight enhances the flavors and texture.
- Garnish just before serving to keep bananas fresh-looking.
