- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 ounces egg noodles, cooked
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
- Season the beef with salt and pepper.
- Add beef to the skillet and cook until browned, then remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook onions and mushrooms until soft and lightly golden.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Sprinkle in flour and stir well to coat the vegetables.
- Slowly pour in beef broth and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Lower the heat and gently stir in sour cream.
- Return beef to the skillet and warm through without boiling.
- Serve hot over cooked egg noodles.
