- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Add eggs, butter, salt, and flour. Knead until dough forms. Let rise until doubled in size.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread cream cheese mixed with powdered sugar, vanilla, and lemon zest over dough. Sprinkle with blueberries.
- Roll dough into a log and slice into rolls. Place in baking dish and let rise 30 minutes.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly, drizzle with glaze if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
- Brush rolls with melted butter before baking for a golden finish.
- Don’t rush the rise, fluffy rolls need time.
- Frozen blueberries can be used if well drained.
