  • Diet: Low Calorie

Description

Tender, flaky salmon broiled to perfection and topped with a glossy herb mustard glaze made with dijon, whole grain mustard, honey, and fresh herbs. This quick and elegant dish is packed with bold flavor and comes together in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets, about 6 ounces each
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler and line a baking sheet with foil. Lightly oil the foil to prevent sticking.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, honey, olive oil, chopped parsley, thyme, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Spoon or brush the herb mustard glaze evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  5. Place the baking sheet under the broiler about 6 inches from the heat source.
  6. Broil for 6 to 8 minutes, depending on thickness, until the top is lightly caramelized and the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve warm with additional lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • For best results, use salmon fillets of even thickness for consistent cooking.
  • Keep a close eye while broiling to prevent overcooking.
  • You can prepare the glaze up to one day ahead and refrigerate until ready to use.
  • A light sprinkle of extra fresh herbs before serving enhances presentation.
