Ingredients
- Bread slices: 4 slices, fresh or slightly day-old
 - Cheddar cheese: 1 cup shredded
 - Mozzarella cheese: ½ cup shredded
 - Onion: 1 medium, thinly sliced
 - Butter: 2 tablespoons, soft for spreading
 - Salt: A pinch
 - Black pepper: A dash
 - Olive oil: 1 teaspoon
 
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
 - Sauté the sliced onions in olive oil with a pinch of salt until golden and soft.
 - Butter one side of each bread slice evenly.
 - Place one slice butter-side down on the skillet, layer with cheeses and sautéed onions, then top with another slice butter-side up.
 - Grill for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese melts.
 - Remove from heat, rest for a minute, and slice diagonally.
 - Serve warm with chips or soup.
