Description

Golden, buttery knots filled with gooey mozzarella cheese and brushed with garlic butter. These Cheese-Filled Garlic Knots are soft on the inside, slightly crisp on the outside, and perfect for dipping or serving alongside your favorite meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (cut into small cubes)
  • 4 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix and knead until the dough is soft and smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and cut into strips. Place a cube of cheese in each and tie into a knot, sealing the ends.
  6. Arrange the knots on a baking sheet, cover, and rest for 15 minutes.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While baking, melt butter in a pan with minced garlic. Brush the warm knots with garlic butter and sprinkle parsley and parmesan on top.
  9. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

  • Seal the knots tightly to prevent cheese from leaking out.
  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • Brush knots while still warm so they absorb the butter.
