Description

Ingredients

  • Fresh Spinach: 1 pound, washed and trimmed
  • Butter: 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • Heavy Cream: 1 cup
  • Cream Cheese: 4 ounces, soft
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese: 1/2 cup
  • Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg: a pinch, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, then add cream and cream cheese, whisking until smooth.
  3. Add the spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted.
  4. Pour the creamy cheese sauce over the spinach and stir gently.
  5. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the leaves.
  6. Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and nutmeg, tasting and adjusting seasoning.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately.
