Ingredients
- Fresh Spinach: 1 pound, washed and trimmed
- Butter: 3 tablespoons
- Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
- Heavy Cream: 1 cup
- Cream Cheese: 4 ounces, soft
- Grated Parmesan Cheese: 1/2 cup
- Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
- Black Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
- Nutmeg: a pinch, optional
Instructions
- Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, then add cream and cream cheese, whisking until smooth.
- Add the spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted.
- Pour the creamy cheese sauce over the spinach and stir gently.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the leaves.
- Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and nutmeg, tasting and adjusting seasoning.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately.
