Description

Flaky puff pastry swirls filled with gooey cheddar and mozzarella, spicy-sweet gochujang, and fresh spring onions. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or party treat.


Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry Sheets: 2 sheets (about 500 g), thawed and ready to roll
  • Gochujang Paste: 3 tablespoons
  • Cheddar Cheese: 1 cup, shredded
  • Mozzarella Cheese: 1 cup, shredded
  • Spring Onions: 4 stalks, finely sliced
  • Egg: 1, beaten
  • Sesame Seeds: 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cheddar, mozzarella, gochujang, and spring onions until combined.
  3. Roll out puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface into rectangles.
  4. Spread the cheese-gochujang mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a border. Roll tightly into logs and slice into 2 cm rounds.
  5. Place swirls on the tray, brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden.
  6. Cool slightly before serving warm.
