Description

  • 1 package (16 oz) phyllo dough, thawed
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine feta, ricotta, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Unroll the phyllo dough and keep it covered with a damp towel. Melt the butter and keep a pastry brush nearby.
  4. Cut phyllo into 3-inch-wide strips. Layer two strips together, brushing each with butter.
  5. Place a spoonful of cheese mixture at the end of the strip and fold into triangles like a flag.
  6. Repeat with remaining dough and filling. Arrange triangles on the baking sheet.
  7. Brush tops with melted butter and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Keep phyllo dough covered with a damp towel to prevent drying out.
  • Freeze unbaked triangles and bake directly from frozen when needed.
  • For added flavor, mix in chopped spinach or a pinch of chili flakes.
