Description
This chocolate peanut butter panna cotta is a rich, creamy dessert that’s full of nutty warmth and cocoa decadence, all in a smooth, chilled spoonful.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
- 3 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 tsp unflavored gelatin (1 packet)
- 1/4 cup cold water
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Sprinkle the gelatin over cold water in a small bowl and let bloom for 5–10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine cream, milk, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium until steaming, not boiling.
- Add chopped chocolate and peanut butter. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and bloomed gelatin. Whisk until fully dissolved.
- Strain mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl for smooth texture.
- Pour into serving glasses or ramekins and chill for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Garnish as desired and serve chilled.
Notes
- Use smooth, unsweetened peanut butter for best texture.
- Straining removes any undissolved bits for silkiness.
- Serve in elegant glasses with chocolate curls or crushed peanuts on top.
