Chocolate Peanut Butter Panna Cotta

  • Total Time: 4 hours 25 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

This chocolate peanut butter panna cotta is a rich, creamy dessert that’s full of nutty warmth and cocoa decadence, all in a smooth, chilled spoonful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 3 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 tsp unflavored gelatin (1 packet)
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle the gelatin over cold water in a small bowl and let bloom for 5–10 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine cream, milk, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium until steaming, not boiling.
  3. Add chopped chocolate and peanut butter. Stir until melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and bloomed gelatin. Whisk until fully dissolved.
  5. Strain mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl for smooth texture.
  6. Pour into serving glasses or ramekins and chill for at least 4 hours or until set.
  7. Garnish as desired and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Use smooth, unsweetened peanut butter for best texture.
  • Straining removes any undissolved bits for silkiness.
  • Serve in elegant glasses with chocolate curls or crushed peanuts on top.
