Description

A warm, cheesy pull apart loaf stuffed with tender crab, melted mozzarella, sharp cheddar, and buttery garlic flavor, perfect as an appetizer or comforting side.


Ingredients

  • 1 large French bread loaf
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups imitation crab meat, chopped
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix the melted butter, crab, mozzarella, cheddar, garlic powder, parsley, and salt.
  3. Line a baking sheet with foil.
  4. Cut the loaf in a grid pattern, making sure not to cut through the bottom.
  5. Stuff the crab cheese mixture deep into all the cracks.
  6. Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until golden and melty.
  8. Let rest a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting.
  • Do not cut the loaf completely through or it may fall apart.
  • Add jalapenos or green onions for extra flavor.
