- 1 large French bread loaf
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups imitation crab meat, chopped
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter, crab, mozzarella, cheddar, garlic powder, parsley, and salt.
- Line a baking sheet with foil.
- Cut the loaf in a grid pattern, making sure not to cut through the bottom.
- Stuff the crab cheese mixture deep into all the cracks.
- Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until golden and melty.
- Let rest a few minutes before serving warm.
Notes
- Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting.
- Do not cut the loaf completely through or it may fall apart.
- Add jalapenos or green onions for extra flavor.
