Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- 5 medium russet potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Set the slow cooker to low heat and lightly grease it with oil or cooking spray.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onions until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and stir in garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the slow cooker, followed by half the beef mixture, some of the soup mixture, and a sprinkle of cheese. Repeat layers, finishing with cheese on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until potatoes are tender.
- Let rest for 10 minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melting texture.
- Let the bake rest before serving to help it set.
- Add a pinch of herbs for extra aroma.
