- 2 large flour tortillas, about 10 inches each
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (about 120 grams)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 120 grams)
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (about 14 grams)
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
Instructions
- Place a nonstick skillet over medium heat and allow it to warm for about 2 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese together with salt and black pepper.
- Add half of the butter to the skillet and let it melt, coating the surface evenly.
- Place one tortilla in the skillet, sprinkle the cheese mixture evenly over it, then top with the second tortilla.
- Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then carefully flip and cook another 3 to 4 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and both sides are crisp.
- Remove from the skillet and let it rest for 1 to 2 minutes before slicing into wedges.
- Slice into triangles and serve warm.

- Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melting texture.
- Cook on medium heat to avoid burning the tortilla before the cheese melts.
