Description

  • 2 large flour tortillas, about 10 inches each
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (about 120 grams)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 120 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (about 14 grams)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place a nonstick skillet over medium heat and allow it to warm for about 2 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese together with salt and black pepper.
  3. Add half of the butter to the skillet and let it melt, coating the surface evenly.
  4. Place one tortilla in the skillet, sprinkle the cheese mixture evenly over it, then top with the second tortilla.
  5. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then carefully flip and cook another 3 to 4 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and both sides are crisp.
  6. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for 1 to 2 minutes before slicing into wedges.
  7. Slice into triangles and serve warm.
