Description

Crispy golden fries paired with juicy, spiced chicken kebab skewers and served with creamy garlic yogurt sauce and classic ketchup. A comforting, crowd-pleasing meal that delivers bold flavor and irresistible texture in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into fries
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit for baking fries, or heat oil in a deep pan to 350 degrees Fahrenheit if frying.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chicken pieces with 2 tablespoons olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Toss the cut potatoes with remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Spread evenly on a lined baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers, spacing pieces slightly apart.
  5. Bake fries for 30 to 35 minutes, flipping halfway through. Grill or pan cook chicken skewers for 10 to 12 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and lightly charred.
  6. In a small bowl, stir together plain yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt to create the garlic yogurt sauce.
  7. Allow chicken to rest for 5 minutes. Serve skewers alongside crispy fries with yogurt sauce and ketchup on the side.

Notes

  • Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 20 minutes before cooking for extra crispiness.
  • Do not overcrowd the baking sheet to ensure fries crisp properly.
  • Let the chicken rest briefly before serving to retain juices.
