Description
A cozy, buttery, and tomato-packed spaghetti dish bursting with garlic, herbs, and comfort. Perfect for busy weeknights or a quick comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 ounces Spaghetti
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 6 cloves Garlic, thinly sliced
- 3 cups Cherry Tomatoes, halved
- Salt, to taste
- Black Pepper, to taste
- ½ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- ¼ cup Fresh Basil, chopped
- Parmesan Cheese, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Set a large pot of salted water to boil and warm a skillet over medium heat.
- In the skillet, heat olive oil and half the butter. Add sliced garlic and sauté until fragrant but not browned. Stir in the cherry tomatoes, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Once tomatoes soften and begin to burst (about 7 minutes), press gently to release their juices. Cook until saucy.
- Cook spaghetti until just al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet with the tomato mixture. Add remaining butter and a splash of pasta water. Toss until coated and glossy.
- Stir in chopped basil. Adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with parmesan if desired.
- Plate immediately and serve with extra basil or cheese. It’s best enjoyed hot and fresh.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
- Reserve pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.
- Add lemon zest or chili flakes for a twist.
- Try roasted cherry tomatoes for a deeper flavor profile.
