Ingredients
- All-Purpose Flour, 3 cups
- Warm Water, 1 cup (about 105°F to 115°F)
- Active Dry Yeast, 2 1/4 teaspoons (one standard packet)
- Sugar, 1 teaspoon
- Salt, 2 teaspoons
- Olive Oil, 1/4 cup plus extra for brushing
- Roasted Garlic, 6 cloves, chopped
- Fresh Rosemary, 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Sea Salt Flakes, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a muffin tin.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, stir warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy. Add flour, salt, olive oil, roasted garlic, and rosemary. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Scoop dough evenly into muffin tin cups, filling them about halfway.
- Assemble the Dish: Drizzle a little olive oil on top of each muffin and sprinkle with sea salt flakes.
- Cook to Perfection: Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Finishing Touches: Brush the tops lightly with olive oil right out of the oven for shine and added flavor.
- Serve and Enjoy: Let cool slightly on a cooling rack, then serve warm with extra olive oil for dipping.
Notes
- Use warm, not hot, water to activate yeast without killing it.
- Roast garlic beforehand for a sweeter, milder garlic flavor.
- Brush with olive oil after baking to enhance crust color and aroma.
- These freeze well; cool completely then freeze in a sealed bag, reheat in a warm oven.
