Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium low heat until evenly warm.
- In a bowl, combine shredded cheddar and mozzarella with salt and black pepper.
- Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices butter side down in the skillet, divide the cheese mixture evenly on top, then cover with the remaining slices butter side up.
- Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp, adjusting heat as needed so the cheese melts fully.
- Remove from the pan and let rest for 1 minute before slicing.
- Slice diagonally and serve warm.
