Description

A quick and flavor-packed Korean Ground Beef Bowl with sweet-savory soy garlic sauce, served over fluffy white rice and topped with green onions and sesame seeds.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 23 cups cooked white rice
  • 23 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli (optional)

Instructions

  1. Warm a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  3. Add ground beef to skillet and cook, breaking it up until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in sauce mixture and stir to combine. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in green onions.
  7. Serve beef over hot rice, topped with sesame seeds and steamed broccoli if using.
