Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring water and sliced ginger to a boil.
- Lower heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Turn off heat and add lemon juice, along with optional ingredients like honey, turmeric, or cayenne.
- Let steep for a few more minutes if desired.
- Strain into a mug and serve warm, or chill and serve over ice.
