Lobster Bites with Garlic Butter Sauce

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Gluten Free

Description

Tender lobster chunks sautéed in a silky garlic butter sauce with bright lemon and fresh parsley, perfect as an elegant appetizer or a luxurious weeknight treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lobster tails, shelled and cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and set a small saucepan on low to gently melt the butter.
  2. Combine melted butter and olive oil in the small saucepan, add the minced garlic and warm until fragrant but not browned, about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  3. Lightly oil the preheated skillet if needed to prevent sticking and ensure even searing.
  4. Season the lobster chunks with salt and black pepper, then add them to the hot skillet in a single layer without overcrowding.
  5. Sauté the lobster for 3 to 4 minutes, turning gently so the pieces become opaque and just cooked through, avoiding overcooking.
  6. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the cooked lobster, add lemon juice and chopped parsley, then toss briefly to coat and meld the flavors.
  7. Transfer the lobster bites to a warm serving dish and serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley and lemon slices if desired.

Notes

  • Pat thawed frozen lobster dry before cooking to get a better sear.
  • Use unsalted butter so you can control the salt level precisely.
  • Add the garlic toward the end of melting the butter to avoid burning it.
  • Cook lobster in batches for larger quantities to prevent steaming and ensure a good sear.
