Description

Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a tart pan with removable bottom.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Add cold butter and blend until crumbly.
  3. Press the dough into the tart pan and chill for 15 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, whisk mascarpone, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the filling into the crust and bake for 25–30 minutes, until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Let the tart cool completely, then chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  7. Slice and serve as is or with a dusting of powdered sugar.

Notes

  • Use room temperature mascarpone for the smoothest filling.
  • Don’t overbake—the tart should still jiggle slightly in the center.
  • Let cool completely before slicing for clean edges.
