- 1 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 large egg
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a tart pan with removable bottom.
- In a bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Add cold butter and blend until crumbly.
- Press the dough into the tart pan and chill for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk mascarpone, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour the filling into the crust and bake for 25–30 minutes, until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
- Let the tart cool completely, then chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
- Slice and serve as is or with a dusting of powdered sugar.
Notes
- Use room temperature mascarpone for the smoothest filling.
- Don’t overbake—the tart should still jiggle slightly in the center.
- Let cool completely before slicing for clean edges.
- Try adding orange zest for a citrus twist.
