Description
Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside — these Oven Baked Chicken Tenders are the perfect healthier alternative to fried versions. Easy, flavorful, and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 pounds chicken tenders
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Olive oil or cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top. Lightly grease the rack.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko mixed with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken tender in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat in the seasoned breadcrumbs. Place on the wire rack.
- Lightly spray or drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let rest a few minutes before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Use a wire rack for extra crispiness.
- Pre-toast breadcrumbs for deeper flavor.
- Let tenders rest before baking to help coating stick better.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for 3–4 days and reheat in the oven or air fryer.
