Description

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple juice or cider
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine pumpkin purée, brown sugar, apple juice, maple syrup, spices, salt, and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir the mixture well and bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Reduce heat to low and cook uncovered, stirring often, for 20–25 minutes or until thickened to a smooth, spreadable consistency.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely before transferring to an airtight container.
  5. Refrigerate and enjoy chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use canned pumpkin purée, not pumpkin pie filling, for best results.
  • Taste and adjust spices or sweetness to your preference.
  • Let it cool fully before storing to avoid condensation inside the jar.
