Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon steaks (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 fresh lemon, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Pat the salmon steaks dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub both sides of each salmon steak with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the salmon steaks on top in a single layer.
  5. Lay lemon slices over each steak and sprinkle chopped parsley evenly.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 3 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve warm with extra lemon if desired.

Notes

  • Do not overbake, salmon can dry out quickly.
  • Let the salmon rest briefly after baking to retain moisture.
  • Use fresh lemon and herbs for the best flavor.
  • Leftovers can be flaked into salads or wraps.
