- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Stir just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
- Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, spacing cookies 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are soft.
- Let cool on the sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
- Press extra chocolate chips on top after baking for a bakery-style look.
- Store with a slice of bread to keep cookies soft longer.
