Homemade spicy tuna rolls made with seasoned sushi rice, creamy spicy tuna filling, and crisp nori. A bold and flavorful sushi favorite that is easier to make than you think.

- 2 cups cooked sushi rice
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces sushi grade tuna, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 to 2 teaspoons sriracha sauce
- 4 nori sheets
- Soy sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Cook sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool slightly.
- In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved, then fold into the warm rice until evenly seasoned.
- In another bowl, combine finely chopped sushi grade tuna with mayonnaise and sriracha sauce until creamy and well mixed.
- Place a nori sheet shiny side down on a bamboo sushi mat.
- Spread a thin, even layer of seasoned rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top edge.
- Spoon a line of spicy tuna mixture across the lower third of the rice.
- Using the bamboo mat, roll the sushi tightly away from you, pressing gently to form an even cylinder.
- Slice the roll into even pieces using a sharp knife, wiping the blade between cuts for clean slices.
- Serve immediately with soy sauce on the side.

- Use sushi grade tuna for best quality and safety.
- Lightly wet your hands before handling rice to prevent sticking.
- Do not overfill the roll to keep it compact and neat.
