- 2 beef steaks (about 200 g each)
- 200 g mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 120 ml beef broth
- 120 ml heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season the beef steaks evenly with salt and black pepper.
- Heat a heavy skillet over medium high heat, then add olive oil and butter.
- Sear the steaks for 3 to 4 minutes per side until cooked to your preference, then remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add mushrooms and garlic and cook until softened.
- Pour in the beef broth, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
- Add the heavy cream and simmer gently until the sauce thickens.
- Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them.
- Finish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
