Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease two 8 inch cake pans, then line them with parchment.
- Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy, then add eggs one at a time.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Add dry ingredients and milk to the wet mixture alternately, mixing gently.
- Fold in chopped strawberries and strawberry puree.
- Pour batter evenly into pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool completely on a rack.
- Whip frosting ingredients together until creamy and spreadable.
- Frost the cake and decorate with fresh strawberries.
