- 2 cans (21 ounces each) strawberry pie filling
- 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly over the bottom of the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the strawberry layer.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much of the surface as possible.
- Bake uncovered for 45 minutes, until the top is golden and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Do not stir the layers, this helps create the classic texture.
- Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
- If dry spots appear on top before baking, add a little more melted butter.
