Description

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour, divided
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease a 9 by 9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in sour cream, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
  5. In another bowl, combine remaining 1 cup flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in remaining butter until large crumbs form.
  6. Sprinkle crumb mixture evenly over batter and press lightly.
  7. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes
