Description

Ingredients

  • All Purpose Flour: 3 and 1/2 cups
  • Warm Milk: 1 cup
  • Active Dry Yeast: 2 and 1/4 teaspoons
  • Sugar: 1/3 cup
  • Butter: 1/3 cup, softened
  • Eggs: 2 large
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Brown Sugar: 1 cup
  • Ground Cinnamon: 2 tablespoons
  • Butter for Filling: 1/3 cup, softened
  • Cream Cheese: 4 ounces, softened
  • Powdered Sugar: 1 cup
  • Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon
  • Milk for Icing: 1 to 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Warm the oven to 180°F for a few minutes, then turn it off to create a warm rising spot.
  2. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it foam for a few minutes.
  3. Add butter, eggs, salt, and flour. Knead until the dough is soft and slightly sticky.
  4. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  5. Roll dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly.
  6. Roll tightly, slice into swirls, and place in the baking dish.
  7. Let the rolls rise until puffy, then bake at 350°F for 22 to 25 minutes.
  8. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk to make icing.
  9. Spread icing over warm cinnamon rolls and serve.
