Ingredients
- All Purpose Flour: 3 and 1/2 cups
- Warm Milk: 1 cup
- Active Dry Yeast: 2 and 1/4 teaspoons
- Sugar: 1/3 cup
- Butter: 1/3 cup, softened
- Eggs: 2 large
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Brown Sugar: 1 cup
- Ground Cinnamon: 2 tablespoons
- Butter for Filling: 1/3 cup, softened
- Cream Cheese: 4 ounces, softened
- Powdered Sugar: 1 cup
- Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon
- Milk for Icing: 1 to 2 tablespoons
Instructions
- Warm the oven to 180°F for a few minutes, then turn it off to create a warm rising spot.
- Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it foam for a few minutes.
- Add butter, eggs, salt, and flour. Knead until the dough is soft and slightly sticky.
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Roll dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly.
- Roll tightly, slice into swirls, and place in the baking dish.
- Let the rolls rise until puffy, then bake at 350°F for 22 to 25 minutes.
- Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk to make icing.
- Spread icing over warm cinnamon rolls and serve.
