- 300 g mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 60 g parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and lightly oil a baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, half of the parmesan, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet, sauté the onion until soft, then add garlic and ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, and basil, then simmer gently for several minutes.
- Layer lasagna noodles, meat sauce, and ricotta mixture in the baking dish, repeating until ingredients are used.
- Top with shredded mozzarella and remaining parmesan cheese.
- Cover loosely and bake for 40 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbling.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
