  • 400 g ricotta cheese
  • 300 g mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 60 g parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and lightly oil a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, half of the parmesan, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet, sauté the onion until soft, then add garlic and ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, and basil, then simmer gently for several minutes.
  5. Layer lasagna noodles, meat sauce, and ricotta mixture in the baking dish, repeating until ingredients are used.
  6. Top with shredded mozzarella and remaining parmesan cheese.
  7. Cover loosely and bake for 40 minutes.
  8. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbling.
  9. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
