Description

Crispy, golden Twisted Cheese Straws made with flaky puff pastry and rich melted cheese, perfect for parties, snacks, or cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry: 1 sheet, thawed but still cold
  • Cheddar Cheese: 1 cup, finely grated
  • Parmesan Cheese: 1/4 cup, finely grated
  • Egg: 1, beaten
  • Paprika: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt: A pinch
  • Black Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon, freshly cracked

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the grated cheeses, paprika, salt, and pepper together.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
  4. Brush half of the pastry with beaten egg, sprinkle the cheese mixture evenly, and fold over the other half. Roll gently to seal.
