Description

Crispy bang bang shrimp tossed in a creamy sweet and spicy sauce. A bold and flavorful appetizer or main dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar, optional

Instructions

  1. Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and rice vinegar in a bowl.
  2. Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Dip shrimp in beaten egg, then coat with cornstarch.
  4. Heat oil in skillet over medium high heat.
  5. Fry shrimp in batches for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden.
  6. Drain shrimp on paper towels.
  7. Toss warm shrimp with sauce until coated.
  8. Serve immediately.

  • Toss in sauce just before serving.
