Homemade creamsicles with a bright orange outer layer and creamy vanilla center, perfectly refreshing for warm summer days.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh orange juice
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Mix orange juice, orange zest, granulated sugar, and water until sugar dissolves.
- In a saucepan combine heavy cream, whole milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and cool completely.
- Pour orange mixture into popsicle molds filling three quarters full. Freeze for 1 hour until slightly firm.
- Pour cooled cream mixture into center of each mold and insert sticks.
- Freeze for 4 to 6 hours until completely solid.
- Run molds under warm water briefly to release and serve.
Notes
- Freeze orange layer partially before adding cream.
- Use fresh juice for best flavor.
- Store tightly wrapped in freezer.
