- 1 teaspoon salt, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water, as needed
- Fresh parsley, optional
Instructions
- Cook penne in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Sauté asparagus in olive oil until tender.
- Add garlic and cook briefly.
- Add drained pasta to skillet.
- Stir in feta, lemon juice, zest, and reserved pasta water until creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
