Description

These High-Protein Tiramisu Trifles are a lighter twist on the classic Italian dessert, layered with espresso-soaked ladyfingers and a creamy Greek yogurt filling. No baking required, easy to prep ahead, and packed with balanced flavor in every spoonful.

  • 2 cups full fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup espresso or strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 12 ladyfingers
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 cup espresso or strong coffee and allow it to cool completely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the Greek yogurt, softened cream cheese, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Arrange 4 clear glasses or jars on your counter for layering.
  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso and place a layer at the bottom of each glass.
  5. Add a generous spoonful of the yogurt mixture over the soaked ladyfingers.
  6. Repeat the layers of dipped ladyfingers and yogurt mixture until the glasses are filled.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the layers to set and flavors to meld.
  8. Before serving, dust the tops with unsweetened cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate chips if using.
  9. Serve chilled and enjoy.

Notes

  • Do not oversoak the ladyfingers, a quick dip is enough to prevent sogginess.
  • For stronger coffee flavor, brush espresso onto the ladyfingers instead of dipping.
