Description

Soft Japanese dorayaki pancakes filled with sweet red bean paste. A classic and comforting Japanese treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup sweet red bean paste

Instructions

  1. Whisk eggs, sugar, and honey until smooth.
  2. Sift in flour and baking powder and mix gently.
  3. Add milk and water to adjust consistency.
  4. Let batter rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Cook small pancakes in nonstick pan until golden on both sides.
  6. Cool slightly and sandwich with red bean paste.

Notes

  • Cook on medium low heat for even browning.
  • Flip when bubbles appear.
  • Store airtight up to 4 days refrigerated.
