Description

Crispy golden lumpia filled with seasoned ground meat and vegetables, wrapped in thin pastry and fried until perfectly crunchy.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork or chicken
  • 1/2 cup finely grated carrots
  • 1 cup finely shredded green cabbage
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 20 to 25 lumpia wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Mix ground meat, carrots, cabbage, onion, garlic, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Place filling on wrapper, fold bottom corner over, tuck sides, and roll tightly. Seal edge with water.
  4. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
  5. Fry in batches for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.

  • Roll tightly to prevent oil from entering.
