Description

Crisp and flaky palmiers made with puff pastry and caramelized sugar for an elegant French cookie.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet store bought puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar, plus extra for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and sprinkle surface with sugar.
  2. Place puff pastry on sugar and sprinkle more on top.
  3. Roll gently to press sugar into dough.
  4. Fold both sides inward twice, then fold in half to form log.
  5. Chill 15 to 20 minutes and slice into 1/2 inch pieces.
  6. Bake 12 to 15 minutes until golden, flipping if needed.
  7. Cool completely before serving.

  • Keep pastry cold for clean slices.
  • Flip during baking for even caramelization.
