Description

Ingredients

- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- Pinch of salt
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1 cup honey
- Colorful sprinkles
- Candied orange or lemon peel, optional
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, salt, eggs, butter, vanilla, and zest to form dough.
- Roll into ropes and cut into small pieces.
- Fry at 350°F until golden.
- Warm honey and toss fried dough pieces to coat.
- Shape into mound and decorate with sprinkles.
Notes
- Fry in small batches.
- Drain well before coating in honey.
- Shape while honey is warm.
