Description

  • 1 cup strong brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate shavings, optional

Instructions

  1. Brew espresso and allow it to cool completely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip heavy whipping cream and granulated sugar until soft peaks form.
  3. Gently fold in mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until smooth and fully combined.
  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, ensuring they are coated but not soaked.
  5. Place a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of 6 clear glass cups.
  6. Spoon a layer of mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and cream.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the layers to set.
  9. Just before serving, dust the tops evenly with unsweetened cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings if desired.
  10. Serve chilled and enjoy.
